Marostica: famous not only for the walls but above all for the chess, because the big main square is paved in black and white marble as a huge chessboard useful for the living chess match, and last but not least for a particular kind of … cherry!
Bassano del Grappa: an old town, dated back before Romans period, even if the actual shape is really medieval style. Its most famous highlight was designed by the architect Mr Palladio and is a wooden covered bridge, and it was a strategical point during the I and II WW. But don’t forget that in the name of this city you have an hint for this tour: Grappa, it’s another trademark for this place, and you cannot leave Bassano without having a little shot of Grappa sipped on the bridge.
1st winery: an amazing renaissance villa designed by Mr Palladio, all surrounded by vineyards which skim Brenta River. White, Red, Rosé wine, cheese, olive oil are the products you can taste here.
Asolo: a little romantic village sheltered on a short mountain in the pre-Alps. The city of Freya Starcks, an english writer and solo traveller of the past century, and Eleonora Duse, an Italian actress who was the muse of Gabriele D’Annunzio, an Italian poet at the time of the IWW. Beautiful scenarios, lovely alleys, an old fortress and a castle will definitely enchant you.
Maser: an interesting photo stop to a Palladian Villa, part of the UNESCO heritage.
Valdobbiadene: a breathtaking ride in this area, well known for the vineyards as far as the eyes can see. Try to count all the trees!
2nd winery: in 1918 starts the story of this business, in the native land of Prosecco. You can feel passion for wine in an eco-friendly environment, in order to support the territory and the old gestures in the wine making process.
