In this private tour, tour guide will pick you up in from of your stay (within city wall) or directly in the main square of the city of Treviso ("Piazza dei Signori") and together you will walk around the city just to enjoy the best local flavors.
You will have different opportunities of tastings such as:
- Coffee Roasting: a roastmaster will open the door of his own lab, and he’ll unveil (more or less) all his secrets about coffee and all concerning coffee. You will see the roasting process, different roasts, different beans, different coffee processes, and of course you will taste something from a variety of cappuccino, espresso, filter, macchiato and many more, in the meanwhile a lot of exotic stories and anecdotes will be told.
- Patisserie: what’s better than a sweet bite of croissant or a spoon of fruity mousse? We knew it, that’s why we’ll go together to explore a pastry shop and its lab, dipping your teeth in the most soft cakes and pies, creamy or crunchy bites of the most typical Italian desserts or - why not - taste "Tiramisu" which was invented just in Treviso some centuries ago.
- Bakery: now is the time for a soft loaf or for a crusty bread, flavored breadstick, milk, olive, pumpkin bread, little pizza and puffy raisin breads, maybe still warm, perfect if your hands are a little bit cold, perfect for your hungry belly.
- Bar: that's the perfect place for a typical aperitif with Spritz and Cicchetti, exactly like the locals. Spritz is that orangish/reddish drink which now is really popular worldwide, made with sparkling white wine and Aperol or Campari. Cicchetti is a local snacks, traditionally coming from Venice, made with a slice of bread and different toppings.
- Ice cream shop/"Gelateria": one or two scoops of gelato? Cone or cup? With or without whipped cream on top? Wait! Listen to me: in my humble opinion, 3 scoops is the perfect number for ice cream, in order to taste a fruity flavor, a creamy one and a surprise one, because we are sure there’s will be at least such a particular flavor which will amaze you.
For the whole time, our tour guide will explain you about local food and drinks, and will help you in orientation from one place to the other. You will walk together in and about Treviso downtown and you will stop here and there, according to what you want to taste and how long you wanna rest in each place.
The guide won't bother you with any historical dates neither architecture details and you will just enjoy the city from a food&drink point of view.
At the end of the tour, tour guide will bring you back to your stay, or will kiss you goodbye in a conveninet place, such as the main square or any other place in town, conveninet to reach your place on your own later.
